Old Fashioned Corn Starch Pudding

1 cup sugar

3 Tbl corn starch

1/4 teas salt

2 cups farm fresh milk

2 farm fresh egg yolks, slightly beaten

1 1/2 teas vanilla extract

2 Tbls real butter

Combine sugar, corn starch and salt in a medium saucepan. Gradually stir in milk until smooth.  Add the egg yolks.

Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly and boil one (1) minute. Stir in vanilla and butter.

Pour into a serving bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Make sure plastic wrap touches top of pudding or it may develop a "film" on top. Chill or serve warm like my family likes it.

Note:  If you do not like sweet pudding, you may use 3/4 cup sugar instead of 1 cup.
