Green Apple Pie
Approximately 8 green Lodi apples, pared and thinly sliced
½ c. sugar
½ c. brown sugar
¾ stick butter
¼ c. water
3 T. flour
Fit bottom crust into a 9-inch pan, then fill with the sliced apples. Make a lattice top and place over the apples. Melt butter and combined sugars, flour and water; cook until it starts to boil. Pour this mixture over the apples through the lattice top. Bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes, then reduce hear and finish baking at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
I found this recipe at the University of Missouri web site. I tried it and thought it was really good!
