Fresh Corn Sauté

3 tablespoons butter
1 cup green pepper, chopped
½ cup onion, chopped
4 cups corn, cut off the cob
¼ cup water
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon salt
Pepper to taste
2 tablespoons red sweet pepper, diced (optional)
½ cup cheddar cheese, shredded
4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

Melt butter in skillet. Sauté green pepper and onion 2 minutes. Add corn, water, honey, salt and pepper (and red sweet pepper, optional) and stir well. Cover and cook over medium heat 10-12 minutes. Sprinkle cheese and bacon over corn mixture and serve. Serves 6.
