Basil pesto
Freezes easily in ice cube trays or a zip-lock bag.
Blend in blender:
- 2 cups basil leaves and flowers
- ½ cup olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves
- ½ teaspoon salt
Add and process only a few seconds:
- ½ cup shredded parmesan cheese
- 2 Tablespoons pine nuts or walnuts
- 3 Tablespoons softened butter
