We are a small specialty farm located in West Friendship, MD. We are "Certified Organic" and are very diversified. We have been using sustainable responsible growing methods for the past 28 years. Our heritage breed chickens are raised on pasture, fed a vegetarian diet, allowed to scratch for bugs and act like chickens the way nature intended. The chickens lay eggs of many colors which some people find amusing. You will taste the farm fresh difference. Other livestock raised naturally are our sheep, angora rabbits and alpacas. The wool from these animals is used for our fiber creations.
Our pork, meat chickens and beef are raised on pasture for us by local 4H small family farms. They are well cared for and some have won "Grand Champion" ribbons at the county and state fairs. Our meat processor is chosen by us as we have high standards. The results? Tender, delicious and flavorful.
We produce organically grown vegetables, berries, flowers, and herbs. We have our own delicious raw honey and jams made with fresh local fruit. We make goat and sheep's milk products including soaps, lotions, and crèmes using premium ingredients. Our soaps are all olive oil based and suited for the most sensitive skin. Other skin nourishing ingredients such as shea butter, mango butter and cocoa butter may be added in addition to a wide variety of specialty oils. Sometimes we also infuse our products with our own herbs which can also be skin soothing. Products are sold through our C.S.A, website, www.breezywillowfarm.com, festivals and the "Howard County Farmers Market".
Convenient pick up times can be arranged for farm pick up.
About Our C.S.A:
C.S. A. stands for "Community Supported Agriculture". Each C.S.A. program is run independently based on the needs of the community. Our program began in 2004. From the beginning we have been passionate about providing premium farm fresh goodies at the best possible price. We have linked with several local farms to provide variety and balance to our farm fresh assortment. The growing methods of the farms that we link with are "Certified Organic," meaning they adhere to strict organic growing methods and are inspected by the state of Md. each year. "Natural", meaning they grow organically but are not certified and "IPM", which stands for" Integrated Pest Management". Our program is designed for an average family of 4 and each week we plan a variety of fruits and vegetables that are in season at the time. We are a value added program so also included weekly is a dozen farm fresh eggs and your choice of gourmet freshly baked bread or other goodies by "Great Harvest", in Columbia. They mill the flours daily and our custom recipes include our own honey, eggs and herbs. Once a month, instead of eggs you will receive another farm fresh item such as artisan cheese, farm fresh fruit jam, natural honey, etc. on a rotating basis. Our program also includes "Pick Your Own Herbs," You are welcome to pick weekly from a wide variety. If you pick up at Breezy Willow, our little members are welcome to a free ice cream while you pack your bag. You may also visit the farm animals.
In addition to picking up at Breezy Willow Farm, we have 7 other convenient locations for pickup. Locations are:
Tuesday from 4-6p.m. Elkridge Library or Miller Branch Library
Wednesday from 4-6p.m. Fulton Elementry or East Columbia Library

Our Community Supports Us & We Support Our Community.
All extra shares that are not picked up and all extra produce that is not sold at the farmers market are donated weekly to the "Howard County Food Bank". Our C.S.A. is now the largest fresh food contributor. Over twelve thousand pounds of food was donated during the 2011 season which helps the needy in our county.
Thanks for supporting our local farms and small business. When you buy fresh and local, you are supporting your local economy and helping to keep small farms alive while helping others to start or diversify.
We also have "work shares". If you would like to work 4-5 hours per work in exchange for your weekly share, please call RJ, 410-442-1807.
